Open the app in Safari
Has to be Safari — Chrome on iPhone can't add apps to the Home Screen.

Tap the Share button
The square with the arrow pointing up, at the bottom middle of Safari (or top right on iPad).

Tap "Add to Home Screen" → Add
Scroll the share menu down a little if you don't see it. That's it — the $5 crown icon is now on your Home Screen like any other app.
Invited to a group? Install first (steps above), then
open the app from your Home Screen, go to
More → Account, and sign in with the email your
invite was sent to — no password, you'll get a code by email
(type the code into the app; ignore the email's link).
Your invite pops up automatically.
Signed in in Safari, then installed — and it logged you out? That's an iPhone quirk: Safari and Home Screen apps keep separate sign-ins. Nothing is lost — sign in once more inside the installed app and all your groups and games come right back.
Android? It's on Google Play. An App Store version is in the works for later this summer.
